Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2022 guide): 3 stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)
About the estate:
A new, ultra-modern, luxurious, and efficient winery reflects the ambitions of the new owner, Jacky Lorenzetti. He clearly aims to produce one of the best wines in his appellation and has acquired top-quality vineyards near Mouton-Rothschild, which should help him achieve his goal. These technically brilliant wines continue to improve with each new vintage.
Decanter
Wine rated (2024 guide) 92/100
About the wine:
The nose is much more subtle and restrained than the 2014 vintage, with lovely concentration and vegetal notes of blackcurrant and blueberry. A decidedly more “Pauillac” character, with fine tannins and a seductive finish marked by spicy notes. Harvested from September 18 to October 3. Aged for 14 months in oak barrels, 50% of which were new, this vintage marks the estate’s first use of Petit Verdot (6%). 2022–2030
Guide Hachette des vins
Rated estate (2022 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About the estate:
Françoise and Jacky Lorenzetti sold their network of real estate agencies (Foncia) and purchased this château in 2009 from the Jugla family. They undertook major renovations in the vineyard and cellar (including the construction of a new wine cellar by Jean-Michel Wilmotte) to restore the reputation of this estate, founded in 1810, whose vineyards now cover approximately 50 hectares following the acquisition of new plots.

Wine rated (2018 guide) 95/100
Rated estate (2022 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About the wine:
An exceptional value. This 2015 vintage, both full-bodied and vibrant, offers explosive fresh fruit and superbly textured tannins. The estate’s new benchmark.
About the estate:
This is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular improvements seen in Bordeaux in recent years. Pédesclaux, acquired by Jacky Lorenzetti in 2009, has undergone a complete transformation—from the vineyards to the cellars—that is both spectacular and at the cutting edge of modernity. Under the guidance of Vincent Bache-Gabrielsen, the wines have improved steadily, vintage after vintage, with subtle refinements. They are now fully deserving of their ranking and, above all, stand out as remarkable value for money.

Wine rated (2016 guide) 93/100
Estate rated "Recommended" (Wine producer recommended by Wine Enthusiast)
About the wine:
Tasting note from the barrel. This is a juicy, fruity wine, supported by black fruit tannins. The blackcurrant aromas are crisp and vibrant, with a firm structure and a lingering finish.
James Suckling
Wine rated (2019 guide) 94/100
About the wine:
Exuberant and intense, with a beautiful, rich fruitiness. Complex and almost exotic. Full-bodied, robust, and very dense. Well-structured yet powerful. It will take 4 to 5 years to reach its full potential.
Yves Beck
Wine rated (2021 guide) 92/100
About the wine:
This bouquet is full of finesse, with spicy and floral notes. Aromas of blackberries and cherries emerge, followed by a hint of minerality as it opens up. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and taut. It might benefit from a bit more depth, but its freshness gives it a lively and appealing character. 2023–2040
