Brown Castle
Château Brown, founded in the 12th century, is owned by Bernard Barthe. The estate is managed by Jean-Christophe Mau, whose family shares management responsibilities with the Dutch Dirkzwager family. The latter has enlisted the services of Stéphane Derenoncourt as a winemaking consultant.

Château Brown’s extensive fifty-hectare vineyard spans the communes of Gradignan, Villenave-d’Ornon, and Léognan, situated in the oldest terroir of the Bordeaux wine region, the Northern Graves. The vineyards of Château Brown are tended with the utmost care and using the finest techniques, and the grapes are harvested by hand, in keeping with the great Bordeaux tradition. Similarly, meticulous attention is paid to winemaking and aging, ensuring the highest quality.

Château Brown wines have long been acclaimed for their quality, having now reached a level of excellence worthy of the greatest wines.
