“A truly exceptional wine!”

“A garnet-red color. This Fieuzal has a very fruity nose! I detect subtle notes of blueberries and a hint of chocolate. As it opens up, notes of mint and raspberries add to the complexity of the bouquet! On the palate, the wine offers a beautiful balance of smoothness, fruit, freshness, and character. The tannins are well-integrated, and the structure supports the wine’s aromatic character. A very complete, well-rounded, and frankly seductive wine! Bravo.” (Yves Beck 2017) - Delivery in a wooden case is available for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on the country and shipping method selected)

Rated estate (2023 guide) 3*Stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)

About the estate:

This estate was long renowned first for its white wine—one of the most well-rounded in Léognan—and later for its red, which, at its best, is one of the finest expressions of the Pessac-Léognan character. The past decade has marked a return to the highest level of quality for Fieuzal’s white wine. The new, state-of-the-art cellars, equipped with numerous small tanks of various sizes—made of concrete, stainless steel, or wood—now allow Stephen Carrier, the director, to craft wines of the highest caliber.

Wine rated (2018 guide) 92/100

About the wine:

Pronounced notes of kirsch. Very ambitious. Dense black fruit with well-structured tannins evoking charcoal and graphite. Impact takes precedence over restraint, but this is a well-structured, high-quality wine. 2025–2038

Rated estate (2023 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About the estate:

This classified growth, located in the very south of Léognan, produced some of Bordeaux’s finest white wines in the 1980s. After being sold to Banque Populaire in 1994, Fieuzal declined until 2001. That was the year Irish businessman Lochlann Quinn acquired it, then hired Stephen Carrier, originally from Champagne, as director. From then on, the estate regained its excellent standing, with a clear focus on body, structure, and tannic elegance in the reds, and freshness following the arrival of consultant Thomas Duclos. With some setbacks (2013) and major successes (2008), the whites are gradually regaining their full-bodied, intense character and aging potential.

Wine rated (2018 guide) 94/100

About the wine:

This wine is a bit austere, though it shows good aging potential. It reveals notes of spice, acidity, and rich fruit as it develops. With its flavors of juicy berries still overshadowed by firm tannins, it will take time to come into its own. Wait until 2025 to drink it.

About the wine:

Aromas of blackberries and plums blend with hints of violets, earth, and oak. On the palate, supple, pleasant tannins carry long-lasting flavors of fresh black cherries. Best enjoyed starting in 2020.

Wine Green

Vert de Vin

Wine rated (2016 guide) 94/100 (Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)

About the wine:

The nose is fruity, refined, and racy, with a certain intensity. It features notes of blackberry cream and blackcurrant, combined with subtle hints of flint and graphite, as well as delicate spice notes and a touch of Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, rich, and mineral (distinctive minerality, terroir), balanced, and offers precision, elegance, body, smoothness, and a fresh, creamy texture. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of blackberry cream, plum, and, more subtly, blackcurrant, combined with hints of licorice, a touch of chocolate, and a hint of oak. The tannins are fine and well-integrated. Good length and persistence with subtle notes of toasted oak and almond.
