"Extraordinary freshness, impressive structure, immense depth and pure elegance. Captivating!"
"The freshness and precision displayed from the outset set the tone! They set the stage in a masterful, serene way, with many nuances dedicated to subtlety and high definition. Dense and fine on the attack, the wine reveals itself with an improbable serenity. It is powerful, deep, lucid and aware of its abilities. As a result, it settles comfortably and is carried along by a quiet strength, respectively perfectly integrated tannins that not only provide the foundations, but also confer extraordinary freshness while taking care to stretch out the finish. Certainly one of the great successes of the vintage" (Yves Beck 2024) - Delivery in wooden cases possible for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on country and shipping method selected).

Eye
Deep, beautiful colour
Nose
Bewitching. Agitation confirms this impression of perfect fruitiness. There's no sign of the hot summer: the vines have responded to the excesses of the 2022 climate and the fruit is ripe, precisely ripe. Shaking the glass makes you want to go further, of course.
Mouth
Broad, tight, bewitching, precise attack. Then the wine unfurls its frame, bouncing, lengthening generously. Tramé and generous at the same time. It's enchanting and all in the making: fascinating!

Guide Hachette des vins
Wine rated (guide 2026) 3*Coup de Coeur (Exceptional wine)
About the wine:
A little more Merlot (53.6%) than in recent years in the blend of this great wine, a description that suits it very well in this exceptionally concentrated vintage. Still on the reserve but profound, the aromas slowly reveal themselves: ripe black fruit, light spices, hearth and roasting. Very broad on the attack, very dense, with a marked softness of texture, the palate quickly tightens under the effect of serious but lurking tannins, which relax in a long, fresh finish, stretched out over licorice. A "very, very great wine", between strength and freshness, on its usual reserve at this stage, with a bright future ahead. 2032-2050

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Domaine rated (2014 guide) 3*Stars (They represent the excellence of French vineyards. The best terroirs cultivated by the greatest winemakers. Tasting their wine is always a magical moment)
About the domain :
"The only property outside the Médoc to have been included in the 1855 classification, Château Haut-Brion has a second distinctive feature: it is totally enclosed within the town. Its terroir is certainly the earliest in the appellation, and the grapes ripen perfectly here, producing a full-bodied, rich wine that develops inimitable smoky notes as it ages. After a brief, less than stellar period (2000-2005), the cru has just produced three top-flight vintages, including a 2009 that promises to be legendary, and an even more aristocratic 2010."

About the wine:
Haut-Brion 2022 retains captivating floral aromas on the nose, with peony, violet and lots of incense combining with intense blackberry and blueberry fruit. It develops in the glass for 10 minutes, only then revealing its underlying minerality. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, offering more substance and a little more grip than La Mission Haut-Brion 2022. Alternating between the 2, I'm more attracted to the 1er Cru, whose finish offers more complexity and precision. This is a magnificent Haut-Brion for the years to come. 2030-2065

Wine rated (2025 guide) 98+/100
About the wine:
The estate's flagship wine, Château Haut-Brion 2022 is made from 53.6% Merlot, 35.4% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Cabernet Franc. Its color is slightly deeper than that of its brother, La Mission Haut-Brion, and its style is slightly firmer and more masculine, with flavors of smoky cassis, scorched earth, graphite, violets and tobacco. Equally pleasing on the palate, this exceptionally complex and fluid Haut-Brion has medium- to full-bodied richness, sensational purity and exceptional multidimensional richness, tannins that are both robust and polished, and an incredible finish. It deserves at least a decade of cellaring (it's already very enjoyable today), and I think it will evolve for 50-75 years or more, given its balance, concentration and structure. 2035-2110
Le Figaro vins
Wine rated (2025 guide) 99/100
About the wine:
From the very first nose, the wine imposes its seriousness and remarkable finesse, like a hunter in the middle of a forest, his mount crushing wild fruit under his galloping feet. Scents of undergrowth mingle with subtle notes of sap. Gradually, the wine settles down, revealing calmer accents of graphite. On the palate, it reveals immense, concentrated depth, like a taut spring ready to break free. Spices titillate the inside of the cheeks, then the wine unfolds a second life after tasting: a flight of sandalwood, mocha and extra spice. A wine of exceptional length, which will need time to express all its majesty. 2030-2060
Terre de Vins
Wine rated (2023 guide) 98-99/100
About the wine:
Body and balance define this 2022. While the bouquet is a little reserved on tasting, the structure is impressive, with tight tannins adding to the firmness. The sweetness is there, with notes of lilac, juniper and mara des bois pulp, like the beginnings of its future palette. Race and class, that's Haut-Brion!

About the wine:
Imagine walking into a floral display with a basket of fresh berries and a lit Cuban cigar, and although it's not quite politically correct, that's the aromatic profile of this wine. On the palate, the wine is fresh, bright, vibrant, lifted and floral. It's refined, delicate and silky, with a refreshing, silky hint of fruit on the finish. This wine is pure elegance. Nothing separates you from the fruit. There's intensity, length and striking purity. The wine lingers seamlessly for 60 seconds or more. Harvesting took place from August 29 to September 15. Yields were 35 hectoliters per hectare, and 50% of the harvest was allocated to the Grand Vin. It's not only competing for the title of best wine of the vintage, it's one of the best Haut Brion has ever produced. If you're a Haut-Brion enthusiast with sufficient income, you won't be able to do without this future legend. 2030-2065.
