Château Grand Corbin-Despagne
Château Grand Corbin-Despagne was built in the 19th century on the border between Saint-Émilion and Pomerol, on clay-sand-silica soil. It was only a century later that the estate gained notoriety for the quality and consistency of the wines it produced.
Château Grand Corbin-Despagne quickly proved itself to be one of the forerunners of biodiversity: in 1993, it obtained HVE3 (agriculture raisonnée) certification, twenty years later its wines are 100% organic, and since 2018 the vineyard has been working biodynamically. The wines produced at Château Grand Corbin-Despagne are intense and complex, with aromas of red fruit, flowers and spices.
