About the estate:

The Decoster family, owners of Clos des Jacobins and La Commanderie in Saint-Émilion, has just acquired this estate situated on the clay-limestone slope, along with its restaurant, which is ideally located in the heart of the vineyards. The 11.5 hectares of Château de Candale enjoy a privileged location in the eastern part of the appellation, with prestigious neighbors such as Tertre Rotebœuf and Bellefont-Belcier. The tannins appear less harsh than in the past, and the potential is evident.

How can a panel of judges award a gold medal to a wine that tastes awful? Where are the aromas of raspberry, red berries, and vanilla??? Major disappointment. Don't buy it!!
