About the estate:

The Decoster family, owners of Clos des Jacobins and La Commanderie in Saint-Émilion, has just acquired this estate—located on the clay-limestone slope—along with its restaurant, which is ideally situated in the heart of the vineyard. The 11.5 hectares of Château de Candale enjoy a privileged location in the eastern part of the appellation, with prestigious neighbors such as Tertre Rotebœuf and Bellefont-Belcier. The tannins appear to be less harsh than in the past, and the wine’s potential is evident.

How can a panel of judges award a gold medal to a wine that’s absolutely awful? Where are the aromas of raspberry, red berries, and vanilla??? A huge disappointment. Don’t buy it!!
