Château Calon-Ségur
Château Calon-Ségur is a 94-hectare wine estate located at Saint-Estèphe, near Bordeaux. It is ranked third grand cru in the 1855 Bordeaux wine classification, in the Saint-Estèphe appellation.

With a rich, centuries-old history, Château Calon-Ségur is today run by the heirs of Denise Capbern-Gasqueton, who brilliantly succeeded her husband Philippe in 1995 until his recent death in 2011. The vineyard is located on gravelly, hilly terrain. Château Calon-Ségur is planted with 65% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, with vines averaging 40 years in age.

Château Calon-Ségur is aged in the traditional way, for an average of 24 months in oak barrels, some of which are new. Château Calon-Ségur is generally considered one of the most powerful, full-bodied Saint-Estèphe wines in the Bordeaux appellation.
