"This full-bodied wine is bursting with generous fruit and boasts a refined structure. Already well-balanced, notes of blackberries burst forth, complemented by hints of spice and dark chocolate. Crafted by the Lynch-Bages team, it exhibits a similar elegance. ” (Wine Enthusiast 2017) Delivered in a wooden crate for any order of 6 bottles of this wine (excluding the “Pickup Point” delivery method). Rated estate (2022 guide): 3 stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)

About the estate:

The elm trees are gone, but the hamlet of Pez is still home to this lovely estate, acquired by Jean-Michel Cazes. The winemaking process is overseen by the team at Château Lynch-Bages, lending the wine a touch of soul and, above all, a great deal of elegance. With more meticulous and precise winemaking than in the past, the wines have gained in refinement.

Wine rated (2018 guide) 91/100 (Excellent wine)

About the wine:

The 2016 Les Ormes de Pez is a deep garnet-purple color, with a nose featuring notes of red and black berries, earth, sage, and charcoal. The medium-bodied palate is refreshing and chewy, with herbal notes.

Wine rated (2019 guide) 16,5/20 (Very good wine)

Rated estate (2022 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)

About the wine:

With a beautifully structured profile, it offers all the charm of the vintage and a very appealing roundness.

About the estate:

This charming estate owes its name to the beautiful elm trees that once graced its garden. Owned by the Cazes family (Lynch-Bages) since the 1930s, Ormes de Pez produces a wine that captivates wine lovers with its full-bodied, rich, and alluring bouquet. It is generally best enjoyed relatively young and has demonstrated consistent quality for over a decade, thanks to the work of a well-oiled team. A great value.
