“Tasted both en primeur and after aging, this wine still offers lovely freshness but is beginning to develop body and depth. Floral, as always, but also flavorful with ripe fruit. We must wait a little longer for the finish to unfold.” (Les Meilleurs Vins de France 2011 - Gault Millau) - Delivery in a wooden case at no extra charge for orders of 6 bottles shipped within France

Rated estate (2022 guide): 3 stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)

About the estate:

The elm trees are gone, but the hamlet of Pez is still home to this lovely estate, which was acquired by Jean-Michel Cazes. The winemaking process is overseen by the team at Château Lynch-Bages, lending the wine a touch of soul and, above all, a great deal of elegance. Thanks to a more meticulous and precise winemaking process than in the past, the wines have gained in refinement.

Rated estate (2022 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)

About the estate:

This charming estate owes its name to the beautiful elm trees that once graced its garden. Owned by the Cazes family (Lynch-Bages) since the 1930s, Ormes de Pez produces a wine that captivates wine lovers with its full-bodied, rich, and alluring bouquet. It is generally best enjoyed relatively young and has demonstrated consistent quality for over a decade, thanks to the work of a well-oiled team. A great value.
