Château Ségur de Cabanac
Château Ségur de Cabanac dates back to the 16th century, when the powerful Ségur-Cabanac family—before becoming owners of major Médoc vineyards such as Latour and Lafite—owned numerous estates. Count Joseph-Marie de Ségur-Cabanac, the “prince of the vineyards,” owned land in the commune of Saint-Estèphe.

It was Guy Delon, from a family of winemakers spanning seven generations, who purchased Château Ségur de Cabanac in 1985. At the site known as “Le Port de Saint-Estèphe,” he built a cellar, fermentation tanks, and operational buildings. The Château Ségur de Cabanac vineyard consists of 12 plots covering just over 7 hectares, situated on the appellation’s finest hillsides facing the Gironde River, and adjacent to the commune’s greatest wines such as Calon, Phélan-Ségur, and Meyney...
