Here is a highly enjoyable Cru Bourgeois that immediately reveals aromas of mixed red and black fruits, along with hints of licorice. A flavorful Saint-Estèphe that is supple and round on the palate, with powerful yet well-integrated tannins. Its balance strikes a perfect harmony between power and freshness. It has it all! Rated 2** stars (Successful production)

About the estate:

“Château Ségur de Cabanac has been owned by the Delon family since 1985. Starting in 1993, Guy Delon was joined by his children. Far from the “great” châteaux, the estate comprises 7 small hectares in the eastern part of the commune of Saint-Estèphe, on a gravelly hill overlooking the Gironde. Complemented by Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon accounts for 60% of the vineyard’s grape varieties; planting densities are high, at 9,000 vines per hectare.”
