“It’s almost impossible to resist this exceptional, rich, and exuberant Sauternes. It takes its place among the pantheon of Bordeaux’s greatest wines!”

"With a sugar content of nearly 190 grams of residual sugar, the 2022 Suduiraut stands out as a special cuvée—a vintage that will be remembered for years to come. The apricot flavor is irresistible. Compared to other Premiers Crus, the texture is even more voluptuous and the flavor even more intense. Balance and purity accompany the fruit to the very end of this extravagant richness. Masterful!” (La Revue du Vin de France 2026) - Delivery in a wooden case is available for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on country and selected shipping method)

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2020 guide) 5*Stars (Exceptional producers, those who represent the absolute pinnacle of quality in France and around the world)

About the estate:

The estate now produces the exceptional wines that its terroir allows, with consistent quality and a complex yet carefully curated range of first and second wines, as well as two remarkable dry wines. It’s hard to choose between the sweet second wines—Lion, which is a bit more modern and exuberant, and the more classic Castelnau—since both are made without compromise, featuring a lovely roasted character in the grapes. Among the dry wines, S has a bit more density than the standard dry wine. Only Yquem manages to do just a tiny bit better, especially when it comes to aging.

Guide Hachette des vins

Wine noted (guide 2026) 2* Favorite (Remarkable wine)

About the wine:

The 2022 joins the 2017 in the pantheon of great vintages for this benchmark estate. Deep golden and dense, the color heralds a powerful and rich nose, true to the spirit of the vintage: notes of honey and candied fruit dominate, accompanied by hints of gingerbread and vanilla from an ambitious aging process (18 months in barrels, 70% new). Rich and opulent from the first sip, bursting with candied fruit, the palate delivers a dense and concentrated texture (yields of 7 hl/ha), very enveloping and threaded with a delicate acidity that lends brilliance and length to the fruit. A major Sauternes that will stand the test of time. 2030–2055

Rated wine (2026 guide) 100/100 Favorite

Rated estate (2020 guide) 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often boasting fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their wines, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)

About the wine:

With a sugar content of nearly 190 grams of residual sugar, the 2022 Suduiraut stands out as a special cuvée—a vintage that will be remembered for years to come. The apricot flavor is irresistible. Compared to other Premiers Crus, the texture is even more voluptuous and the flavor even more intense. Balance and purity accompany the fruit to the very end of this extravagant richness. Masterful!

About the estate:

This vast estate was acquired in 1992 by AXA Millésimes. Thanks to its geographically diverse vineyards, Suduiraut combines the power of Haut-Sauternais wines with the prestigious fruitiness found in the wines of the Preignac and Barsac plateaus. The result is a complete nectar, very slow to age, and which, in great vintages, borders on genius. The latest vintages have reached a very high standard.

Wine rated (2025 guide) 99/100

About the wine:

No. 3/100 in "James Suckling's Top 100 Best French Wines of 2025"

A multitude of aromas of dried apricots, turmeric, pine nuts, and botrytis. Full-bodied with 190 grams of sugar, it offers incredible length and richness. Notes of salted caramel, light nuts, and dried fruit linger for several minutes. 100% Sémillon. An excellent sweet wine. Already ready to drink, but will age well for many years. Best enjoyed in 3 or 4 years, but already magnificent.

About the wine:

Château Suduiraut 2022 reveals notes of candied orange, caramelized citrus, flowers, spices, and buttery notes. A decadent Suduiraut, with vibrant freshness, perfect balance, and a magnificent finish. It is a brilliant and opulent Sauternes that is virtually impossible to resist, and which should age beautifully for decades if stored properly. 2025–2055

Yves Beck

Yves Beck

Wine rated (2023 guide) 99/100

About the wine:

As you inhale the aroma of this wine, you’re reminded that Axa owns a vineyard in Tokaji! This adds an extra layer of inspiration! The classic earthy notes—radishes, horseradish, and hints of toasted almonds—are joined by notes of raspberries and peaches, complemented by bitter oranges, apples, and rhubarb… there’s enough here to open a specialty fruit and vegetable shop! On the palate, the wine shines with density, concentration, and freshness. The sweetness is well balanced by the acidic structure as well as a subtle bitterness that stretches the finish beyond our imagination, beyond our ability to grasp the immense Suduiraut that is taking shape! It may be somewhat atypical, though when it comes to great wines, Suduiraut has a consistency that is well established. 2030–2100
