exceptional wine

"It is almost impossible to resist this extraordinary, rich, and exuberant Sauternes. It joins the pantheon of the greatest Bordeaux wines!"

The intensity of the liqueur, with around 190 g of residual sugar, elevates Suduiraut 2022 to the ranks of special vintages, those that leave a lasting impression. The apricot flavor is irresistible. The texture and intensity of the flavor are even more voluptuous than other Premiers Crus. Balance and purity accompany the fruit at the end of this extravagant richness. Masterful! (La Revue du Vin de France 2026) - Delivery in wooden cases is available for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on the country and shipping method selected).

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2020 guide) 5 stars (Exceptional producers, representing the absolute pinnacle of quality in France and worldwide)

About the estate:

The estate now produces the very fine wines that its terroir allows, with perfect consistency and a complex but perfectly thought-out range of grand and second wines and two remarkable dry wines. It is difficult to choose between the sweet second wines, Lion, which is slightly more modern and exuberant, and Castelnau, which is more classic, as both are made without compromise, with a lovely roasted grape flavor. Among the dry wines, S has a little more density than the simple dry wine. Only Yquem does slightly better, especially in terms of aging.

Wine noted (guide 2026) 2* Favorite (Remarkable wine)

About wine:

The 2022 joins the 2017 in the pantheon of great successes for this benchmark vintage. Very golden and dense, the color heralds a powerful and rich nose, very much in keeping with the spirit of the vintage: notes of honey and candied fruit dominate the nuances of gingerbread and vanilla resulting from ambitious aging (18 months in barrels, 70% of which are new). Rich and full-bodied from the outset, with hints of candied fruit, the palate delivers a dense and concentrated texture (yields of 7 hl/ha), very enveloping and shot through with a fine acidity that gives the fruit brightness and length. A major Sauternes that will stand the test of time. 2030-2055

Wine rating (2026 guide) 100/100 Favorite

Rated estate (2020 guide) 2 stars (These very large estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).

About wine:

The intensity of the liqueur, with around 190 g of residual sugar, elevates Suduiraut 2022 to the ranks of special vintages, those that leave a lasting impression. The apricot flavor is irresistible. The texture and intensity of the flavor are even more voluptuous than other Premier Crus. Balance and purity accompany the fruit at the end of this extravagant richness. Masterful!

About the estate:

This vast estate was purchased in 1992 by AXA Millésimes. Thanks to its geographically well-distributed vineyards, Suduiraut combines the power of Haut-Sauternais wines with the prestigious fruitiness found in the wines of the Preignac and Barsac plateaus. The result is a complete nectar, very slow to age, which, in great years, borders on genius. The latest vintages have reached a very high level.

Wine rated (2025 guide) 99/100

About wine:

No. 3/100 in James Suckling's "Top 100 Best French Wines in 2025"

A multitude of aromas of dried apricots, turmeric, pine nuts, and botrytis. Full-bodied with 190 grams of sugar, it offers incredible length and richness. Notes of salted caramel, light nuts, and dried fruit linger for several minutes. 100% Semillon. An excellent sweet wine. Ready to drink now, but will age well. Best enjoyed in 3 or 4 years, but already magnificent.

About wine:

Château Suduiraut 2022 reveals notes of candied orange, caramelized citrus, flowers, spices, and butter. A decadent Suduiraut, with vibrant freshness, perfect balance, and a magnificent finish. This is a brilliant and opulent Sauternes, almost impossible to resist, which should evolve for decades if stored properly. 2025-2055

Yves Beck

Yves Beck

Wine rated (2023 guide) 99/100

About wine:

When you smell this wine, you remember that Axa owns a property in Tokaji! So the inspiration is enhanced! Add to that the classic root notes of radish and horseradish, hints of toasted almonds, then notes of raspberry and peach complemented by bitter orange, apple, and rhubarb... enough to open a grocery store specializing in fruits and vegetables! On the palate, the wine is brilliant in density, concentration, and freshness. The sweetness is well counterbalanced by the acidic structure and a subtle bitterness that stretches the finish beyond our imagination, beyond our ability to grasp the enormous Suduiraut that is taking shape! It may be somewhat atypical, although when it comes to great wines, Suduiraut has a proven track record of consistency. 2030-2100
