A deep golden yellow colour, reflecting the richness of the vintage.
Nose
Both delicate, with notes of rose, white flowers, lychee and clove, and powerful, with aromas of smoke, candied fruit, roasted pineapple and passion fruit.
Mouth
Rich, voluptuous, ample attack, with flavors of yellow peach in syrup, spices and vanilla. Very clean finish without heaviness, despite the richness of the vintage. The terroir is there to balance this power and bring back elegance.

About the domain :
The estate now produces the great wines that its terroir allows, with perfect regularity and a complex but perfectly thought-out range of grand and second wines and two remarkable dry wines. It's hard to choose between the slightly more modern and exuberant Lion and the more classic Castelnau among the sweet second wines, as both are made without concession, with a lovely roasting of the grapes. In dry form, S has a little more density than the simple sec. Only Yquem can do a little better, especially when it comes to ageing.

About the wine:
The 2022 joins the 2017 in the pantheon of great successes from this benchmark vintage. Very golden and dense, the color announces a powerful, rich nose, very much in the spirit of the vintage: notes of honey and candied fruit impose themselves on the nuances of gingerbread and vanilla resulting from ambitious ageing (18 months in barrels, 70% new). Rich and fat from the outset, with candied fruit, the palate is dense and concentrated (yields of 7 hl/ha), very enveloping, with a fine acidity that lends brilliance and length to the fruit. A major Sauternes that will stand the test of time. 2030-2055

About the domain :
This vast estate was bought by AXA Millésimes in 1992. Thanks to a geographically well-distributed vineyard, Suduiraut combines the power of Haut-Sauternais wines with the prestigious fruitiness found in the crus of the Preignac and Barsac plateaus. The result is a full-bodied nectar that ages very slowly, but which, in great years, approaches genius. Recent vintages have reached a very high level.

A multitude of aromas of dried apricots, turmeric, pine nuts and botrytis. Full-bodied with 190 grams of sugar, it offers incredible length and richness. Notes of salted caramel, light nuts and dried fruit linger for a few minutes. 100% Semillon. An excellent sweet wine. Already ready to drink, but will age for a long time. Best enjoyed in 3 or 4 years, but already magnificent.

Smelling this wine reminds us that Axa has a property in Tokaji! So inspiration is enhanced! We add the classic root nuances of radish and horseradish, nuances of roasted almonds, then notes of raspberry and peach, complemented by bitter orange, apple and rhubarb... enough to open a specialized fruit and vegetable store! On the palate, the wine shines with density, concentration and freshness. The sweetness is well countered by the acid structure and a fine bitterness that has the effect of stretching the finish beyond our imagination, beyond our ability to grasp the enormous Suduiraut that is taking shape! It may be a little atypical, but when it comes to great wines, Suduiraut's consistency is beyond question. 2030-2100
