"Formerly known as Blanc Sec de Suduiraut, this Gem a real pleasure to taste!"
The 2023 "Lions de Suduiraut" dry white is outstanding. Bright and vibrant, it offers notes of ripe pear, ginger, white flowers, and chamomile. The 2023 seems a little richer and creamier than some previous vintages, but that's not a bad thing for a wine that is designed to be bought and consumed within a fairly short period of time. A real treat." (Vinous 2025)

Rated estate (2020 guide) 5 stars (Exceptional producers, representing the absolute pinnacle of quality in France and worldwide)
About the estate:
The estate now produces the very fine wines that its terroir allows, with perfect consistency and a complex but perfectly thought-out range of grand and second wines and two remarkable dry wines. It is difficult to choose between the sweet second wines, Lion, which is slightly more modern and exuberant, and Castelnau, which is more classic, as both are made without compromise, with a lovely roasted grape flavor. Among the dry wines, S has a little more density than the simple dry wine. Only Yquem does slightly better, especially in terms of aging.

About wine:
With aromas of lime blossom, orange peel, and iodine, the nose hints at a fresh and linear palate. A pure delight, perfect for your summer parties or to be served at a high-end picnic, bearing the Suduiraut name. The majority of Sémillon gives it opulence on the mid-palate. I appreciate the balance between acidity and alcohol. Barrel aging will give it more definition and breadth, allowing it to achieve a higher score. 2024-2028

Rated estate (2020 guide) 2 stars (These very large estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the estate:
This vast estate was purchased in 1992 by AXA Millésimes. Thanks to its geographically well-distributed vineyards, Suduiraut combines the power of Haut-Sauternais wines with the prestigious fruitiness found in the wines of the Preignac and Barsac plateaus. The result is a complete nectar, very slow to age, which, in great years, borders on genius. The latest vintages have reached a very high level.
