"A model of success!"
"This is a beautiful layered white wine with solid structure and intensity. It is full-bodied. Lots of grapefruit and dried green mango. 54% Semillon, the rest Sauvignon. The best of all vintages." (James Suckling 2021)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2020 guide) 5 stars (Exceptional producers, representing the absolute pinnacle of quality in France and worldwide)
About the estate:
The estate now produces the very fine wines that its terroir allows, with perfect consistency and a complex but perfectly thought-out range of grand and second wines and two remarkable dry wines. It is difficult to choose between the sweet second wines, Lion, which is slightly more modern and exuberant, and Castelnau, which is more classic, as both are made without compromise, with a lovely roasted grape flavor. Among the dry wines, S has a little more density than the simple dry wine. Only Yquem does slightly better, especially in terms of aging.

About wine:
I love dry whites from the Sauternes region, and this is a good example—showing why Semillon is such an interesting grape to work with to create dry whites with personality. Slightly less round on the palate than others in the region, but still with a slate-like texture and minerality that shows how the soils here can work for dry whites, and an excellent expression of citrus and juicy white pear. 2021-2026
Robert Parker - Wine Advocate
Wine rating (2021 guide) 89-91/100 (Outstanding wine)
About wine:
It starts off with vibrant notes of freshly squeezed lime, lemon meringue pie, and Granny Smith apples, as well as hints of dill seeds and white pepper. The medium-bodied palate offers an impressive satiny texture and a racy line that cuts through the citrus and apple flavors, ending with an interminable length. 2023-2029

Rated estate (2020 guide) 2 stars (These very large estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About wine:
This lovely wine has depth. Clean, with a beautiful flavor, it deserves to age for two or three years in the bottle.
About the estate:
This vast estate was purchased in 1992 by AXA Millésimes. Thanks to its geographically well-distributed vineyards, Suduiraut combines the power of Haut-Sauternais wines with the prestigious fruitiness found in the wines of the Preignac and Barsac plateaus. The result is a complete nectar, very slow to age, which, in great years, borders on genius. The latest vintages have reached a very high level.

Wine rated (2021 guide) 90-92/100
About wine:
Beautiful minerality and maritime freshness in the bouquet of this dry Suduiraut wine. It evokes the sea, citrus fruits, and spices. Tight and delicious on the palate. Lots of precision, pep, and freshness on the finish. A racy wine with a juicy and persistent finish. 2022-2028

Review and opinion by Mr. MATHIEU W. Published on 03/27/2023
Light golden yellow color. On the nose, green melon, candied zest, honey, and even a hint of butter toffee. In addition, flint, nutmeg, and mace. Salty attack on the palate, juicy green fruit, vegetables and herbs, bitterness from the zest. Sufficient substance and power, but slightly short on the finish. Hardly a trace of sweetness, rather dry. Interesting, but I had expected a little more. Score: 15/20
