" Favorite the 2013 vintage, L'Incontournable has once again been recognized for its 2014 release. While it has received just one star, this reflects a consistent level of quality. Aged using a combination of tank and barrel (70% in tank and 30% in barrel), this Chablis stands out for its freshness, directness, and fruitiness, supported by subtle chalky notes on both the nose and palate. It offers energy and a beautiful balance.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2017)

About the wine:
Favorite the 2013 vintage, L'Incontournable has once again been recognized for its 2014 vintage. It has been awarded one star, which attests to its consistent quality. Aged using a combination of tank (70%) and barrel (30%) maturation, this Chablis stands out for its freshness, directness, and fruitiness, complemented by subtle chalky notes on both the nose and palate. It offers energy and a beautiful balance.
About the estate:
The first in the line, Julien Philippon, who came from the Morvan region, settled there in 1868 as a lumberjack and gradually built up the family estate. His heir, André, purchased Château de Fleys, a former hunting lodge, in 1988. A beautiful estate that he passed on to his children, Béatrice, Benoît, and Olivier, along with a 25-hectare vineyard located east of Chablis, on the right bank of the Serein.

About the wine:
A brilliant, shimmering color. Aromas of white flowers and almonds, with an exotic note that emerges upon breathing. A soft, smooth texture, full-bodied and lively, with juicy flavors complemented by a lovely minerality. A honeyed finish. Very generous.

A good wine, but don't keep it in the cellar for too long
