Delicacy and balance in a benchmark vintage from Chablis!
Rated property ** RVF and ***/**** Robert ParkerCharming, just like its cousins from the Côte d’Or, this Les Beauroys 2002 1er cru It certainly is. This is undoubtedly due to the estate’s style, which emphasizes lactic notes to soften the terroir’s minerality, which can sometimes be too sharp. Supple and delicate, it has a beautiful structure and its characteristic aromas: an enticing bouquet of cream and hazelnuts with a hint of oak. This wine is a delight—one to discover and serve with fish in a creamy sauce…

Rated estate (2021 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines regularly receive awards from the guide)
About the estate:
As both a wine merchant and producer, Michel Laroche is one of the leading figures in the Chablis region. With a vineyard that has grown from 6 hectares in the late 1960s to 100 hectares today, the estate—founded in 1850—is headquartered at the Obédiencerie, a former monastery built above a 9th-century crypt that once housed the relics of Saint Martin. A signature name in Chablis wines, the estate joined the Advini group in 2009. Michel Laroche now devotes himself to his new property, Dom. d'Henri, created from the family’s vineyards.

Rated estate (2021 guide) 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to the consistency and excellence of their wines, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)
About the estate:
The wine merchant, along with the Laroche estate and its exceptional vineyards, has been part of the Advini group since 2009. Thanks to a skilled technical team led by winemaker Grégory Viennois, the style has become more refined, with more subtle aging techniques resulting in wines that are increasingly pure in expression—less rich and opulent than in the past. Just-ripe grapes are vinified here in barrels, without ever forcing or masking the wines. The expression of the terroirs is very clear, yet the style is not premature.
