Domaine Charly Nicolle - Lucie Thieblemont
15,5/20
Bettane & Desseauve
“Golden yellow in color, this is a very winey crémant with aromas of dried fruit; on the palate, it is winey, full-bodied, and substantial. The bubbles are fine, and the finish is briny. A crémant perfect for fine dining or as an aperitif, ideal with savory pairings. ” (Bettane & Desseauve Wine Guide 2020) This 100% Pinot Noir Brut Zero offers a delightful, refined taste experience!

Rated estate (2022 guide): 3 stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)
About the wine:
Golden yellow in color, this is a very full-bodied Crémant with aromas of dried fruit; on the palate, it is full-bodied, rich, and substantial. The bubbles are fine, and the finish is briny. A Crémant perfect for fine dining or as an aperitif, ideal with savory dishes.
About the estate:
We’ve been following this estate for some time now and are delighted by Charly Nicolle’s professionalism and steady progress. Working the terroirs of Fleys—including the two premier crus, Les Fourneaux and the easternmost part of Mont de Milieu—he crafts a small selection of wines with great density on the palate, effectively highlighting the distinct minerality of each cru. This is a sure bet for the region.

About the estate:
Charly Nicolle's great-grandparents were already growing grapes. Following in the footsteps of previous generations, the young winemaker embarked on this adventure. Based in Fleys, east of Chablis, he established his own estate in 2011, tending to his 17 hectares of Chardonnay, and has established himself as a reliable name in the Chablis region. He also manages the family estate, La Mandelière, alongside his own venture.
