A medium-bodied wine with a lovely texture and great finesse. It is both creamy and velvety, yet remains understated and elegant.  Earthy, grounded, powerful, with equatorial breadth and a solid presence on the palate. A wine with aromas of potting soil and mushroom compost, mushrooms and bone marrow, hawthorn berries, and the lively, bitter, scarlet note of holly berries. Made from grapes sourced from several winegrowers, the 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin Village offers a delightful, pure bouquet with fragrant notes of red cherry and crushed strawberry. On the palate, it is very clean, with fine tannins, lively acidity, and a lovely mouthfeel that leads to a refreshing finish. To be honest, I didn’t expect it to be this good! 2026–2036
