Joseph Drouhin

Joseph Drouhin, founded in Beaune in 1880, now cultivates 73 hectares of its own vineyards, making it one of the largest estates in the region, spread across Burgundy: Chablis, Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune, and Côte Chalonnaise. The estate comprises mainly Grands Crus and Premiers Crus, planted with the two Burgundy grape varieties: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Domaine Joseph Drouhin owns some of the most famous vineyards in Burgundy, such as Clos des Mouches, Montrachet Marquis de Laguiche, Musigny, Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru, and Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru. For certain communal and regional appellations, Joseph Drouhin supplements its supply with long-standing partner winegrowers who share its standards. Since 1990, Maison Joseph Drouhin has chosen to adopt an organic and biodynamic approach. The soil is cared for exclusively with natural products. With around 90 appellations, Joseph Drouhin offers an exciting discovery of the Burgundy terroir, in all its authentic nuances. The Joseph Drouhin style combines balance, harmony, and character. The young wines have a subtle freshness; the wines for aging acquire a sumptuous complexity.
