"A 100% Chardonnay from the Côte Chalonnaise synonymous with freshness, liveliness, and elegance, this Givry Premier Cru is simply delicious!"

A premier cru vineyard in Russilly, the Chofflet estate produces a Givry blanc 1er Cru 2023 that flourishes in the Côte Chalonnaise region, more specifically in the locality known as "Les Galaffres," from which it takes its name. It reveals itself on the nose with great elegance, offering aromas of green apple zest and ripe pear, complemented by subtle notes of dried fruit. On the palate, it seduces with its creamy texture, vibrancy, and aromas of white and yellow fruits, as well as its round, full-bodied, apricot-flavored finish: delicious!

Winery rated 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

Passed down by his sons-in-law, this 14-hectare estate located in the hamlet of Russilly, north of the Givry appellation, is managed by Jonathan Brunot, Denis Valdenaire's son-in-law. He practices sustainable viticulture without herbicides; the harvest is mechanical, optically sorted, with fairly traditional vinification and long aging.
