"A 100% Chardonnay from the Côte Chalonnaise region synonymous with freshness, liveliness and elegance, this Givry 1er Cru is simply delicious!"

A classified premier cru vineyard in Russilly, Domaine Chofflet has produced a Givry blanc 1er Cru 2023 that flourishes in the Côte Chalonnaise region, more specifically in the lieu-dit "Les Galaffres" from which it takes its name. On the nose, it's a wine of great elegance, with scents of green apple zest and ripe pear, complexified by subtle notes of dried fruit. On the palate, it seduces with its creamy texture, vibrancy and aromas of white- and yellow-fleshed fruit, and its round, full, apricot finish: delicious!

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Domaine rated 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)

About the domain :

Passed on by his sons-in-law, this 14-hectare estate in the hamlet of Russilly, north of the Givry appellation, is managed by Jonathan Brunot, Denis Valdenaire's son-in-law. The grapes are mechanically harvested and optically sorted, and the vinification process is rather traditional, with long ageing.
