"A 100% Chardonnay from the Côte Chalonnaise—synonymous with freshness, liveliness, and elegance—this Givry 1er Cru is simply delicious!"

“With aromas of candied orange, caramel, and smoke, this full-bodied Chardonnay makes a bold statement on the palate, where it is both lively and creamy, with medium body. A generous finish. Drink now or cellar.” (James Suckling 2025)

Rated 2 stars (A solid, recommendable production, though slightly more conventional and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

Passed down through his sons-in-law, this 14-hectare estate located in the hamlet of Russilly, north of the Givry appellation, is managed by Jonathan Brunot, Denis Valdenaire’s son-in-law. He practices sustainable viticulture without the use of herbicides; the grapes are harvested mechanically and sorted by optical scanner, followed by fairly traditional winemaking methods and extended aging.
