Château Pouilly
In the heart ofthe Pouilly-Fuissé AOC in Burgundy, Château de Pouilly, built in 1551, has always been the ambassador for this Chardonnay-based white wine.
Perched on Mont Pouilly and surrounded by its vineyards, Château de Pouilly and its seventh generation of owners watch over its terroir, its climats, and the preservation of ancestral traditions.
The harvest from its 7 hectares of vineyards, partially picked by hand, is aged in the Château’s cellars, partly in oak barrels.
Château de Pouilly, one of the oldest estates in southern Burgundy, dates back to the heyday of Cluny Abbey.
Surrounded by its vineyards, this medieval château has been producing Château Pouilly wine since 1551. Today, it is one of the few estates to produce exclusively POUILLY-FUISSE, the first AOC of the Mâconnais region.
This long tradition is currently carried on by the women of the 6th and 7th generations of the family.
