In the heart ofthe Pouilly-Fuissé AOC in Burgundy, the Château de Pouilly, built in 1551, has always been the ambassador for this white wine made from Chardonnay. Perched on Mont Pouilly and surrounded by its vineyards, Château de Pouilly and its seventh-generation owners watch over its terroir, its “climats,” and the preservation of ancestral traditions. The harvest from its 7 hectares of vineyards—partly picked by hand—is aged in the Château’s cellars, partly in oak barrels.

Château de Pouilly, one of the oldest estates in southern Burgundy, dates back to the heyday of Cluny Abbey. Surrounded by its vineyards, this medieval château has been producing Château Pouilly wine since 1551. Today, it is one of the few estates to produce exclusively POUILLY-FUISSE, the first AOC in the Mâconnais region. This long tradition is currently carried on by the women of the sixth and seventh generations of the family.
