"Impressively powerful and dynamic, according to James Suckling, this Pouilly-Loché is a gastronomic cuvée!

"The nose has excellent depth of lemon, smoke and flint, then a very impressive dynamism and chalky minerality on the compact, medium to full-bodied palate. The stony intensity of the finish reminds me of Chablis 1er Cru, but it's welded together with more body and warmth. The finish is impressively powerful without a trace of heaviness. Made from organically grown grapes. For drinking or cellaring. (James Suckling 2024)

3*Star rating (High-quality production, a benchmark in its sector)

About the domain :

In 2002, Olivier Giroux bought Domaine Saint-Philibert in Loché, renaming it Clos des Rocs after his largest parcel. He now farms 9 hectares of vines around 60 years old, 6 of which are Pouilly-Loché. In 2006, he began converting the estate to organic farming, obtaining certification in 2014. This young man in his forties is helping to raise the profile of Pouilly-Loché wines, of which he is the best ambassador. With little intervention in the cellar, he relies on moderate wood ageing and unhurried bottling. His cuvées of great purity seduce with their crystalline, fresh, finely-wooded juices.
