"One of the most elegant Saint-Aubins, both straightforward and rich, balanced by beautiful acidity, worthy of a Premier Cru from the Côte de Beaune!"

The Saint-Aubin 1er Cru le Charmois 2022 offers a superbly complex aromatic palette. Its aromas of juicy black cherries, cut grass, and violets lead the way, closely followed by subtle notes of blueberries and warm earth. The palate is silky, with firm tannins and a delicious length. It also shows great aging potential.

Rated estate (2021 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)

About the estate:

Francine Picard, Michel's daughter, is putting all her considerable energy and idealism into reshaping the style of the wines produced by the family empire, which encompasses 140 hectares of vineyards. Since May 2019, she has been supported by Antoine Lepetit, a biodynamic consultant and her new technical director. The estate will be certified organic at the end of 2019 and changes are set to continue with even more precise vinification and aging processes. An extensive range of high-quality red and white wines provides a real insight into the different climates of the Chassagne and Saint-Aubin area.
