Domaine de la Croix Senaillet - Saint Véran Les Buis 2022
90/100
Vinous
"This parcel, whose name is not due to the harsard, gives the grape variety typical verbena and lime blossom flavours, it is already drinking perfectly today according to Vinous!"
"The Saint-Véran Les Buis 2022, which comes from limestone soils, has another fairly neutral bouquet with notes of yellow fruit and mirabelle plum, a slight stony note underneath. Very discreet. The palate is medium-bodied with a slightly honeyed opening, as if there were a little drop of botrytized fruit in the mix. The finish has a nice weight to it - this wine is drinking perfectly today." (Vinous 2024)

About the domain :
Dom. de la Croix Senaillet was founded in 1969 by Maurice Martin, who gradually abandoned mixed farming in favor of vines. In 1990, his son Richard took over the family estate, before being joined by his brother Stéphane in 1992. The property, initially 6.5 ha, has grown to 25 ha today, spread over 52 parcels that have been certified organic since 2010. Building on their experience, in 2015 the brothers acquired Dom. de Mont Épin in Clessé (13 ha).
