Rated estate (2020 guide) 5*Stars (Exceptional producers, those who represent the absolute pinnacle of quality in France and around the world)

About the estate:

This Mareuil-sur-Aÿ-based house, which has been in the same family for over two centuries, gained an international reputation in the 1990s thanks to its light and refined champagnes, particularly its rosé, its signature wine. The grapes come primarily from the Épernay region and the Marne Valley, notably from grand cru vineyards. The house owns very few vineyards of its own (about a dozen hectares), but relies on high-quality supply contracts. The entire range is refined, prioritizing harmony over power, with many nuances evident in each of its numerous cuvées. Today, Billecart ranks among the greats of Champagne.
