"Nuanced by a slight woody note (from reserve wines aged in oak barrels), this is a remarkable expression of Pinot Noir: even the bubbles are generous, rising in fine strands in a perfectly golden color. Rich and ripe, the nose combines hazelnut, candied fruit, quince paste, small black fruits, and mocha. The candied fruit takes on tones of apricot and nectarine on a full and long palate, marked by a touch of crème de cassis on the finish. Rich and elegant. " (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2020)

About the estate:
Famous house in the Côte des Bar (Aube) founded in 1895. Émile Fleury was the first to graft Pinot Noir; Robert sold his first bottles in 1929 and Jean-Pierre was a pioneer of biodynamics in Champagne, converting his 15 hectares in 1989. Twenty years later, his three children joined the business: Morgane runs a wine cellar in Paris, Jean-Sébastien is in charge of winemaking, and Benoît looks after the vines.

About wine:
The 2017 Blanc de Noirs base showcases the quality juice of a cheerful Pinot Noir with a creamy mousse.
About the estate:
A pioneer of biodynamic farming in Champagne since 1989, the Fleury family uses grapes from its own vineyards and purchases organic grapes to produce delicious champagnes dominated by Pinot Noir. Their Barséquanais vineyard is maturing and the viticulture methods used add extra flavor to the wines, some of which are aged in oak, some in cork (Boléro, extra-brut vintage) and some without sulfur for certain vintages. Unusual in the world of Champagne, this visionary house expresses the roundness and maturity of Aube Pinot in a delicious range. Jean-Sébastien Fleury has brilliantly taken up the torch from his father Jean-Pierre, a biodynamic winegrower respected by his peers.
