"Signature of the House, a beautiful, complete, racy vintage, ideal for the festive season!"
"Freshness, tenderness and fruity aromas, everything we love is in place. The acidity dominates in a classic material in the good sense of the word, pleasant and carried to the finish by a salivating bitterness. Just what you'd expect from a BSA: to make you want to drink it again. (Le Gault & Millau 2024).

Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2025 guide) 92/100
Domaine rated (guide 2025) 5*Stars (Outstanding producers, those who represent the absolute pinnacle of quality in France and the world)
About the domain :
Gosset remains a small house in the world of Champagne giants, with an average of one million bottles sold each year. At the head of the technical team is a dynamic duo, Odilon de Varine and Gabrielle Malagu, for a range that remains true to its fundamentals: freshness, liveliness and minerality. To stay the course, despite recent climate changes and higher grape ripeness, the house now favors Chardonnay in its blends, with a smaller share of Pinot Noir to keep the final taste consistent. With its homogeneity and assertive style, the range, which offers numerous cuvées, including some from long-aged wines, deserved to be rewarded with an extra star. The house is back at the top of our hierarchy.
Guide Hachette des vins
Domaine noté (guide 2025) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the domain :
The "oldest house in Champagne" was founded in 1584 by Pierre Gosset, an alderman and vineyard owner from Aÿ, before the region's wine began to take off. At the time, the town's wines, often red, rivaled those of Beaune at court. After Pierre Gosset, 13 generations followed. Now based in Épernay, the company has been part of the Renaud-Cointreau group since 1993. Gosset champagnes do not undergo malolactic fermentation. In 2016, assistant manager and oenologist Odilon de Varine took over from Jean-Pierre Mareigner. He was joined the following year by Gabrielle Malagu, to whom he entrusted joint responsibility for the winery at the end of 2022.

Wine rated (2025 guide) 90/100
Domaine rated (guide 2025) 2*Stars (These great estates, often endowed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the wine:
A beautiful color, the nose is open with a palette marked by pinots. The fruit is ripe, with a hint of stone and mirabelle plum. The wine is full-bodied, with a delicious body and creamy mousse. The juice is serious, with a dosage that patinates the contours without excess.
About the domain :
Champagne's oldest wine house, founded in 1584, has been owned by the Renaud-Cointreau group since 1994. Now under the leadership of Odilon de Varine and Gabrielle Bouby-Malagu in the cellar, it stands out for its consistent production of intense, powerful wines with a fine tension that balances them and enables them to age harmoniously.

About the wine:
Champagne Grande Réserve Brut NV comes in a brilliant straw hue and rises from the glass with pure, inviting aromas of white peach, fresh flowers and wet stone. Medium-bodied, with a fresh mouthfeel, a fresh, mellow mousse and a delicate saline finish, it's a wonderful calling card for the freshness of the house style. Drink between 2023 and 2030.

An elegant champagne, without being ostentatious, a fine balance, we're in the good category without a doubt.

Particularly neat and elegant presentation. Luminous gold colour. Fine, abundant bubbles. Rich, full-bodied palate, fruity and floral. Delicate mineral tension supported by the assertive vinosity of the Maison Gosset style. Very long, refreshing finish, leaving a salivating buttery, chalky impression on the palate. Very good value for money, especially as the price has been virtually stable over the last three years at 1J1V, which is rare for Champagnes... At 10°, the elegant "Grande Réserve" was chosen for the New Year's Eve aperitif, in complete harmony with Aquitaine caviar, to highlight its buttery, tangy and slightly salty character. Score = 4.3.

An excellent, classic aperitif champagne. Pleasantly round, a wine that invites you to take your time. A family friend who's always a confidant, with whom you'll want to tell interesting stories with your wife and children over an extended aperitif. It can also be enjoyed with certain dishes, but with caution, given its 8g residual sugar content.
