"A delightfully enjoyable Champagne—this cuvée strikes a superb balance between freshness and fruitiness."
“The aroma is so fresh! Peach, grapefruit, and citrus from the Hand of Buddha. Intensely fragrant and citrusy. Pure, singing like a soprano. Tiny bubbles make the zest of white pepper dance all the way to the slightly smoky finish. It really seems to float!” (Jancis Robinson). Bottle without a cap

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2026 guide): 4* Stars (Producers of the very highest quality, the pride of French viticulture)
About the estate:
Pierre and Sophie Larmandier, along with their son Arthur, have been cultivating 16 hectares using biodynamic methods for over twenty years. Few wineries, across all regions, can boast such consistency at this high level. The range is remarkably well-crafted and offered at reasonable prices. Among the estate’s legendary vintages, the “Vieille Vigne du Levant” is undeniably a benchmark of the Côte des Blancs. The style features creamy textures where balance is a central focus. In this understated elegance, one often finds the very best the Côte des Blancs has to offer. A highly sought-after destination.

Wine rated 91/100 (Wonderful wine)
About the wine:
The latest release of Larmandier-Bernier’s Blanc de Blancs Latitude Extra-Brut NV is from the 2021 vintage (60%), vinified entirely in oak barrels and supplemented by a perpetual blend dating back to 2004. The plots located on richer soils, mainly facing east and southeast, produce rounder, fuller-bodied wines, and this is also true of the 2021 vintage. Displaying aromas of pear, acacia, and pastries, it is fuller-bodied than the Longitude, with ripe yet lively acidity and a velvety mousse.

Rated estate (2026 guide) 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often boasting fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to the consistency and excellence of their wines, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)
About the estate:
Although his family hails from Cramant, Pierre Larmandier has settled in Vertus and produces wine from plots spread across the grands crus of the Côte des Blancs, in Cramant (the sumptuous Vieille Vigne du Levant cuvée), Chouilly, Oger, and Avize. The result is a magnificent Les Chemins d'Avize, produced since 2009. Stainless steel and barrels have given way to oak casks, in which vinification takes place without the addition of yeast. The range showcases the dedicated work in the vineyard (certified biodynamic).

About the wine:
Such a fresh aroma! Peaches, grapefruit, and lemon. Intensely fragrant, with citrus notes. Pure, as melodious as a soprano. Tiny bubbles dance lively over notes of white pepper in a slightly smoky finish. It really seems to float.
