With its bright, intense ruby color and reddish-red tints, this cuvée d'assemblage gives off a gourmand perfume of ripe red fruits and cranberries, enhanced by spicy notes. The palate is aromatic, greedy and crisp, with a lovely body that coats the palate with notes of strawberries, pepper and a hint of herbaceousness. Tannins are present but round, and the finish is generous and fruity. A joyful, juicy, easy-drinking wine.

About the domain :
Established on the outskirts of Ajaccio, this estate, created before the French Revolution by distant ancestors of the current owners, was acquired in 1965 and restored by Louis de Poix, promoter of the appellation. After Guy de Poix's untimely death in 2011, it is his son who maintains the high reputation of this vineyard, one of the largest in the appellation at 55 ha.

About the domain :
Guy de Poix's children, Charlotte and Amaury, look after this estate near Ajaccio, the largest in the appellation. Their reputation is built on the Cuvée du Cardinal, a classic sciaccarellu that ages gracefully. The entire range is highly recommendable. Replanting, modernizing the winery, facing up to climatic challenges - there's no shortage of projects. The 2023 wines are certified organic.
