"A well-structured, vibrant, fresh, and aromatic wine"

A very lovely rosé blend of Sciaccarello (from the “saignée” method) and Nielluccio and Cinsault (from the press), featuring a light, luminous salmon color with silvery highlights. Its nose is intense and fresh, with aromas of red berries, citrus, white flowers, eucalyptus, and spices. After some aeration, a slight briny note emerges. The fresh and invigorating attack gives way to a full-bodied, indulgent, lively, and tangy palate with notes of citrus, candy, and mild spices. It has excellent length and aromatic persistence.

Sciaccarello is macerated for 4 to 6 hours. The must is then drawn off, followed by cold settling (8°C) for 24 to 48 hours. The other grape varieties are pressed directly in a pneumatic press. Fermentation is temperature-controlled at 16°C for 3 weeks to 1 month.

Nose

Intense and fresh, with aromas of red berries (strawberry, raspberry), citrus (grapefruit), white flowers, eucalyptus, and spices. After some time in the glass, a slight briny note emerges.

About the estate:

Located on the outskirts of Ajaccio, this estate—founded before the Revolution by distant ancestors of the current owners—was acquired in 1965 and restored by Louis de Poix, a champion of the appellation. Following the untimely passing of Guy de Poix in 2011, his son has carried on the legacy of this renowned vineyard, one of the largest in the appellation at 55 hectares.
