Château Prince Pierre Napoléon Bonaparte

Prince Pierre Napoleon Bonaparte Castle
In 2017, Jean-Raphaël and Jean-Vincent Racine-Grisoli revived the Château Prince Pierre Napoléon Bonaparte. The Imperial estate, created in 1850 by Prince Pierre Napoléon Bonaparte, nephew of Emperor Napoleon I, is located in Corsica on the west coast facing the bay of Argentella and the prestigious Scandola nature reserve. It benefits from a strong maritime influence, giving its wines freshness and salinity. It is one of only two estates in Corsica to be entitled to use the designation "château."

Out of a total of 200 hectares of land, 35 hectares of vines were planted in 2018 on virgin granite soils, after meticulous analysis with the help of consulting oenologist Emmanuel Gagnepain. The Château Prince Pierre Napoléon Bonaparte vineyard is farmed organically and according to biodynamic principles, with Demeter certification obtained in 2023.

The ampelographic base of Château Prince Pierre Napoléon Bonaparte is composed of 12 grape varieties endemic to Corsica: Sciaccarello, Vermentino, Genovese, Codivarta, Rossola Brandica, Bianco Gentile, Rimenese, Malvasia nera, Carcajolo Nero, Minustello, Murescono, Nielluccio...
