Château Prince Pierre Napoléon Bonaparte

Château Prince Pierre Napoléon Bonaparte
In 2017, Jean-Raphaël and Jean-Vincent Racine-Grisoli brought Château Prince Pierre Napoléon Bonaparte back to life. The Imperial estate, created in 1850 by Prince Pierre Napoléon Bonaparte, nephew of Emperor Napoléon I, is located on Corsica's west coast, facing the Bay of Argentella and the prestigious Scandola nature reserve. It benefits from a strong maritime influence, giving freshness and salinity to its wines. It is one of only two estates in Corsica to benefit from the "château" appellation.

Out of a total of 200 hectares of land, 35 hectares of vines were planted in 2018 on virgin soils of granite origin, after meticulous analysis with the help of consultant oenologist Emmanuel Gagnepain . The Château Prince Pierre Napoléon Bonaparte vineyard is farmed organically and biodynamically, with Demeter certification obtained in 2023.

The ampelographic base of Château Prince Pierre Napoléon Bonaparte is made up of 12 endemic Corsican grape varieties: Sciaccarello, Vermentino, Genovese, Codivarta, Rossola Brandica, Bianco Gentile, Rimenese, Malvasia nera, Carcajolo Nero, Minustello, Murescono, Nielluccio...
