“A white wine that smells divinely of the South!”

“White flowers and green apple, creamy green olives, the sweet-spicy green of bay leaves. Green almonds. A dance of contrasts. The sweetness of jasmine, the petal-like texture of the wine, the acidity that feels like a sigh, almond cream. But then there is the salty rush that rises and surges in, like the foam of waves crashing on the beach. A hint of bitterness. A hardness of sea glass that does not yield. A touch of white pepper on the finish.” (Jancis Robinson 2025)

Rated estate (2022 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the estate:

An oenologist dedicated to the revival and promotion of island wines, Yves Leccia established his own winery in 2005, after managing the family estate alongside his sister for some fifteen years. Today, he and his wife Sandrine run a 16-hectare vineyard on clay-limestone and schist soils in Poggio-d'Oletta. Certified organic since 2017, it is one of the pillars of the Patrimonio appellation, often noted as well for its Muscat wines.

Wine rated (2026 guide) 91/100

Rated estate (2022 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About the wine:

Citrus peel, floral notes, and a beautiful brightness; precise and taut on the palate, fresh, with good vitality and balance. Its natural tension, lightness, and refined style make it ideal as an aperitif and will continue to be enjoyable with meals for up to three years.

About the estate:

Yves Leccia and his partner, Sandrine, run a vineyard located primarily on the E Croce and Partinelone plots. The entire vineyard is plowed and cultivated, and only organic fertilizers are used. The estate has been highly innovative in recent years with new wines such as O Bà, Biancu Marinu, and L'Altru Biancu. Meticulously crafted, these wines remain fine ambassadors for Corsican viticulture, but care must be taken not to overshadow their individuality: some wines, more standardized than in the past, place too much emphasis on technical precision.
