Floral, fresh, and balanced, Mauro 2013 is much less extracted and oaky than in some previous vintages; it is more transparent and precise. The wine is round with a very nice freshness, and lighter than other vintages. The palate is fresh with a nice balance and good acidity. Regular Mauro drinkers looking for power and concentration may be disappointed, but those looking for a more drinkable Mauro will be delighted with this 2013. One month less in barrel compared to previous vintages, for a more respectful aging of this lighter vintage." (Wine Advocate 2015 - Robert Parker)
