Robert Parker
"A delicate, fragrant Tempranillo of incredible elegance, enhanced by a winemaker with a long history of talent!"
Flor de Pingus 2023 is made from more than 20 hectares of old Tinta del País vines and 15 hectares of Garnacha in the Ribera del Duero. It was aged in 10 to 15% new oak barrels. The nose reveals aromas of violet, fresh plum, and a delicate touch of oak. Fine-grained, responsive tannins define the texture. A red wine with charming nuances and an evolving character. 2025-2040" (Vinous 2025)

About wine:
The Flor de Pingus 2023 is attractive, juicy, ripe, and accessible, less serious than the 2022. It is very balanced and integrated, with beautiful purity. The wine spent eight months in oak barrels, and in 2023, six 2,000-liter oak vats were introduced for the aging of part of the wine, about 15% of the volume, where it matured for 12 months. This is an accessible vintage of Flor. Overall, the aging process was a little shorter this year. Bottling is expected to begin in early May 2025. 2026-2034
