This was the last Barolo we tasted in the Altare range, organized in order of increasing intensity and power, and it was a real treat. Harvested on October 11 at the Serralunga d'Alba vineyard, the 2013 Barolo Riserva Cerretta shows great freshness and boldness. It is a magnificent wine, tight, light, and refined. It shows generous volume. The wine finishes with lingering notes of earth, rust, and dusty marble. The tannins are solid and complete. Well done!
