"One of the finest Barolos of the vintage, this marvel opens with aromas of rose, wild berries, forest floor, and new leather. Superb and simply delicious, the full-bodied palate is full of flavor and finesse, with notes of crushed raspberry, ripe red cherry, cake spices, and licorice, all accompanied by taut, silky tannins. Fresh acidity maintains the balance. Although it is already fantastic, it also shows great aging potential. Drink between 2024 and 2038.” (Wine Enthusiast 2022).

About the wine:
The 2018 Barolo Conca is dense and beautifully intense, with notes of blackcurrant, tart cherry, wild rose, and blue lilac. The wine’s internal structure is refined and delicate, with subtle hints of spice, licorice, and toast on the palate. The Barolo Conca displays great elegance and a long, refined finish.

James Suckling
Wine rated (2022 guide) 93/100
Rated winery (2022 guide) Recommended
About the wine:
Aromas of dried cherries with hints of spice and a touch of toasted orange peel. Medium-bodied to full-bodied, with a silky texture and an almost creamy mouthfeel. An intense and flavorful finish. Very fine tannins develop slightly toward the finish. The overall structure is lighter this year, but there is no lack of intensity and concentration. Best enjoyed starting in 2024.
