About the wine:
The 2021 Barolo Marcenasco has a brilliant brick-red color and offers great complexity and clarity on the nose, opening with notes of candied orange, anise, cranberries, red currants, and minty herbs. The palate is equally concentrated, with refreshing energy and pronounced acidity, well-defined and supple tannins, and a crisp finish. This is a beautiful wine from Ratti, with plenty of personality, that will age gracefully and continue to improve over the next 15 years or more. I’d very much like to cover more of their wines in the future. 2025–2040
