"Produced since 1978, enjoy this 100% Sangiovese—a classic of the region—rated 94+ by The Wine Advocate!"
"Casanova di Neri's 2017 Brunello di Montalcino offers an unexpected elegance and a floral profile that is uncommon in this hot, dry vintage. True to Casanova di Neri, the wine is bold and dark in appearance, and although the bouquet is dominated by purple and black fruits, there is a brief interlude of fresh garden rose or lilac. This fleeting moment shifts the wine’s momentum in a very positive way, creating harmony between the low and high notes, which are well-matched here. The wine is robust, structured, and velvety on the palate, but ultimately, this expression is much more delicate than I would have expected for a 2017 Brunello. It’s a lovely surprise. 2024–2038” (Robert Parker 2022)

About the wine:
A medium-bright ruby color. An intense nose of sweet fruit with a hint of oak, though otherwise it is still somewhat closed. A concentrated, deep palate of sweet-and-sour cherry with fine but firm tannins. Very long and elegant rather than powerful. 2022–2030

Wine rated (2017 guide) 92/100
About the wine:
Dusty flowers, musky cherries, and raspberries with hints of minty herbs waft from the 2017 Brunello di Montalcino. This wine is enveloping and smooth, with sweet exotic spices and a juicy, vibrant acidity that gives way to tart wild berries and rosy floral notes. The finish is astonishing, featuring hard red candies and violets, and soft tannins that just keep going, creating a somewhat chewy yet fresh expression. That said, this is a stunning wine. 2024–2029
