About the wine:

Tenuta Nuova comes from the Le Cetine vineyard in Casanova di Neri, south of Montalcino. With a south-facing exposure from east to west, it is a sun-drenched, Mediterranean expression of Brunello. The 2017 needs a little coaxing at first, then notes of cherry skin, cinnamon, licorice root, and gardenia emerge from the glass. The initially grainy tannins slowly dissolve into a fine, dusty powder, revealing a supple and round blackcurrant flavor. The lemony acidity maintains the wine’s liveliness, while notes of dark chocolate and mint linger. 2023–2029
