"Produced since 1978, enjoy this 100% Sangiovese—a classic of the region—rated 94+ by The Wine Advocate!"
"Casanova di Neri's 2017 Brunello di Montalcino offers an unexpected elegance and a floral profile that is uncommon in this hot, dry vintage. True to Casanova di Neri’s style, the wine is bold and dark in appearance, and although the bouquet is dominated by purple and black fruits, there is a brief interlude of fresh garden roses or lilacs. This fleeting moment shifts the wine’s character in a very positive way, creating harmony between the lower and higher notes, which are well-balanced here. The wine is robust, structured, and velvety on the palate, but ultimately, this expression is much more delicate than I would have expected from a 2017 Brunello. It’s a lovely surprise. 2024–2038” (Robert Parker 2022)

About the wine:
Bright medium ruby. Intense nose of sweet fruit with a hint of oak, but otherwise it is still a bit closed. Concentrated and deep on the palate, with sweet-and-sour cherry flavors and fine but firm tannins. Very long and elegant rather than powerful. 2022–2030

Wine rated (2017 guide) 92/100
About the wine:
Dusty flowers, musky cherries, and raspberries with hints of minty herbs waft from the 2017 Brunello di Montalcino. This wine is enveloping and smooth, with sweet exotic spices and a juicy, vibrant acidity that gives way to tart wild berries and delicate pink flowers. The finish is astonishing, featuring red hard candies and violets, along with soft, lingering tannins that create a somewhat chewy yet refreshing profile. That said, this is a breathtaking wine. 2024–2029
