Wine rated (2024 guide) 96/100

About the wine:

The estate’s Riserva is produced only in vintages of incomparable greatness, or when there is a particularly captivating story to tell. The previous vintage, 2017, fell into the latter category, whereas 2019, by contrast, celebrates an undeniably exceptional year. It opens with an intoxicating blend of clove, vanilla, and coriander, before distinct mineral notes take over. The palate is still somewhat muddled after a long aging in Slavonian oak barrels, though it is decidedly young. Soft yet concentrated, with a thrilling tension, it pulses with lively acidity. The well-extracted, earthy tannins require at least two years of cellaring. 2027–2039

About the wine:

A brilliant ruby color, ranging from medium to deep. An exuberant and exotic nose, with aromas of raspberry and cranberry. On the palate, an explosion of raspberry against a backdrop of gritty tannins. Very long, intense, mineral, and spectacular, while retaining an elegant structure. A breathtaking wine. 2025–2036

About the wine:

The 2019 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva offers a vibrant blend of crushed strawberries, minty herbs, hints of rhubarb, cedar shavings, and aged leather. It flows smoothly and elegantly across the palate, revealing a sumptuous, silky texture. The tangy aromas of wild berries are enhanced by a core of alluring acidity, with palpable mineral notes that intensify on the finish. Hints of blood orange mingle with a mineral resonance and fine tannins, while the 2019 concludes with a classically dry finish of spectacular length. It is a magnificent achievement. 2026–2038
