A typical, straightforward Tuscan wine with pronounced fruitiness reminiscent of cherry, sloe, and blackcurrant, with a good hint of spice and some smoky notes, supported by firm, fine tannins and lively acidity. Medium-bodied, the taut, slender palate ends with a spicy finish. Overall, it lacks a little structure and, above all, length. Best reserved for the table, for example with wild boar polpette in tomato and basil sauce. Optimistic price. Rating = 3.7.
