“Richly fruity!”

A Chardonnay aged for 26 months in barrels and demi-muids, offering intense aromas of yellow fruit. On the palate, it is a concentrated, full-bodied wine where ripe fruit and minerality, sunshine and freshness come together. It pairs perfectly with fish terrines and vegetable tarts.

About the wine:

While the 2023 Chardonnay lacks a bit of concentration, the same cannot be said of the 2022 Fonteneille, which is rich in fruit but not at all flabby

About the estate:

This vast estate, located in the municipalities of Arbois and Pupillin, was founded by Roger Martin, a native of Burgundy, who, by planting 14 hectares of Savagnin, made it the largest vineyard in the Jura dedicated to this grape variety in the 1950s. Pierre, his son, and Vincent, his grandson, now run the estate. The estate has practiced organic viticulture since 1999 and biodynamic viticulture since 2009. Many older vintages are still available at reasonable prices.
