Domaine Jean Macle

Domaine Jean Macle is a winery founded in 1850 and located in Château-Chalon in the Jura region. Laurent Macle has been at the helm of the estate since 1995. Domaine Jean Macle has 12 hectares of vineyards, including 8 planted with Chardonnay in the Côtes du Jura AOC and 4 planted with Savagnin in the Château-Chalon AOC.

The vineyards at Domaine Jean Macle are cultivated without insecticides, fungicides, or systemic products. After undergoing alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in tanks, the wines are aged in oak barrels under a layer of yeast. The Macle family’s work at Domaine Jean Macle has resulted in a Château-Chalon Vin Jaune of great purity, capable of exceptional aging potential, much to the delight of wine enthusiasts.
