Domaine Jean Macle

Domaine Jean Macle is a winery founded in 1850 and located in Château-Chalon in the Jura region. Laurent Macle has been at the helm of the estate since 1995. Domaine Jean Macle has 12 hectares of vines, 8 of which are planted with Chardonnay in the Côtes du Jura AOC and 4 with Savagnin in the Château-Chalon AOC.

The vines at Domaine Jean Macle are cultivated without insecticides, anti-rot agents, or systemic products. After undergoing alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in vats, the wines are aged in oak barrels under a veil of yeast. The work of the Macle family at Domaine Jean Macle has resulted in a Château-Chalon vin jaune of great purity and exceptional longevity, much to the delight of wine lovers.
