Eric et Bérengère Thill
He is from Alsace, she is from Berry, and they chose the Jura as their home after studying in Dijon. It was their love of vines and wine that led them to settle in the Côtes du Jura in 2009.
Together, they farm 5.20 hectares of old vines in the commune of Gevingey, in the southern Revermont region, a few kilometers from Lons-le-Saunier, using certified organic methods (ECOCERT). The vineyard consists of: 3.15 hectares of Chardonnay, 1 hectare of Savagnin blanc, 60 acres of Poulsard, and 35 acres of Pinot noir. Since 2019, new plots have been added, with 40 acres of Trousseau, 18 acres of Chardonnay, and 15 acres of Trousseau to come. Their cellar is located in the commune of Trenal, 5 km from Lons-le-Saunier.
This venture is the result of a passion cultivated by Eric since his early childhood. His Alsatian origins influence his work both in the vineyard and in the cellar. This is largely why the wines are single-varietal: no blends. There are two ranges of wines available for tasting:
This venture is the result of a passion cultivated by Eric since his early childhood. His Alsatian origins influence his work both in the vineyard and in the cellar. This is largely why the wines are single-varietal: no blends. There are two ranges of wines available for tasting:
- Fruity and floral wines made from Savagnin, Chardonnay, Poulsard, and Pinot Noir.
- Jura specialties, including a 100% Chardonnay Macvin, ideal as an aperitif, a Crémant, and a distinctive Savagnin from the AOC l'Etoile... and, of course, their trademark Liqueur de Chardonnay!
Smiling, generous and perfectionist, the couple's uniqueness is reflected in the estate's wines.
Year after year, the vintages gain in depth and finesse, always somewhat surprising and unforgettable.
