About the estate:

Well known for his Ch. Ollieux Romanis, Pierre Bories bought Champ des Murailles in 2012, a Corbières-Boutenac estate created by François des Ligneris, former owner of Ch. Soutard, a Saint-Émilion grand cru classé. Covering some 10 hectares on the western flank of the Pinada massif, this vineyard is characterized by a cooler microclimate than Ch. Ollieux Romanis.

I'm busting the myth. I don't get the mentholated nose described on the website. Instead, I'm getting more of a crushed, mashed, even stewed fruit nose that reminds me of the Brett in some wines; as if, in trying too hard to do well, they've denatured this wine and stripped it of its structure.
