Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (guide 2025) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)
About the domain :
The ideal house for those who want to discover good Languedoc wines faithful to their terroir. Jérôme Joseph and Laurent Calmel are wine merchants without a winery. They mature their selected cuvées with the winegrowers from whom they buy them, respecting the flavors and terroirs of their origins. A wide gourmet range with many successful wines and a few stunning surprises.

About the wine:
Interesting autumnal nose with lots of tobacco leaf on the palate. Slightly smoky, the fruit is discreet, as if soaked and lightly poached in tea. Red plums, wild currants, rosemary. Sweet, earthy spices. A discreet, moderate, harmonious wine that hums with the timbre of the earth; it seems to hold back rather than pounce on you. It would be magnificent with duck.

I'm fed up with these so-called "natural" wines that are full of off-flavors. Or maybe "1j1v" needs to tell us that we have to wait for this kind of wine... I gave it 1 glass, but it deserves 0 glasses.

Very acidic wine (too much so), fruity, fresh, mentholated
