Calmel & Joseph
The Calmel & Joseph was founded in 1995 by Jérôme Joseph, a native of the Languedoc region with a passion for fine dining and a deep interest in the world of wine. As a wine selector, taster, and self-taught expert, he wanted to dedicate himself to crafting wines from the Languedoc, one of the richest yet most complex wine-growing regions. This goal was achieved in 2007 when Laurent Calmel, an oenologist with extensive experience abroad, joined him.
Convinced of the Languedoc’s potential as a wine-producing region, they have forged close ties with numerous winemakers, crafting, blending, and aging their wines as naturally as possible using a meticulously selected range of vineyard plots.
Calmel & Joseph uses natural, environmentally friendly farming methods (without certification labels). The entire range of wines is produced from carefully selected vineyard plots.
Hand-harvesting, gentle winemaking, meticulous blending, and gentle bottling bring out the balance and unique aromas of the local grape varieties.
